It’s time for the verdict. Will Mark’s constant backtalking to Dicko put him on the firing line? Will performing first make Chrislyn ‘forgettable’ enough to end up in the bottom 3? Will Madam be forgiven for losing her steam 3 weeks in a row?

Before the show starts, we pay tribute to Levi Kereama, the 6th placer of season 1 of Australian Idol. He allegedly committed suicide, jumping out of a hotel in Brisbane only hours after he performed in Parklife.

The first person to be in the bottom 3 tonight is.............................................Madam

Second person is......................................Roshani???

and lastly, it's................................................Chrislyn?????????

Madam is performing first. She says she has fun and that's the most important thing. Roshani is next. She says if this is her last time, at least she had fun. Chrislyn is the last to perform and she did better this time around. Kyle is particularly surprised with the bottom 3.

Chrislyn says what went wrong was that it was out of her comfort zone so she lost her focus a bit. She was very nervous and not ready to leave. lol the mic is dead while she and the host were talking.

Sophile feels great to be safe. Chrislyn's mic is back on. She agrees with Dicko that her outfit sucked last night. If she stays, she'll do what she's best at.

Roshani admits it's scary to be in the bottom 3. They show footage with her struggling in her outfit, it was tight and she felt it might affect her vocal. She thinks her performance may be to theatrical and that's why she is where she is.

Madam is not sure what has happened to her. Maybe she's just too happy that she can't focus on the techniques.

Thanh wins the performance of the night award.

They show a footage of Mark being scared before his performance. Marcia suggested him to write key words on his palms. Mark is shocked and feels undeserved to not be in the bottom 3, but excited to do a rock song next week. Dicko actually apologised to Mark because Dicko thinks he shouldnt be that aggressive to Mark.

Luke apparently made up a lyric last night, but of course none of us couldn't really catch it cause as usual he growls when he sings.

when he was 10, Wes sang and danced Fernando on stage, and at one point he accidentally bumped his balls against a metal fence.

Metro Station is the special guest of the night, singing Shake It.
Ahahaha, they asked the audience to stand up, and no one did. Lazy bums.

The band admittedly put their money on someone who they think will be eliminated tonight, but of course they aren't gonna say who.

Here we go, the first person safe is..................................Roshani!!!

This leaves Madam and Chrislyn in the bottom 2.

Kyle thinks Chrislyn stands out more therefore she should stay.
Marcia likes how Madam is friendly to everybody and she's gonna miss her if she goes.
Dicko loves both of them, but Chrislyn is more consistent.

And the person leaving tonight is...................................................................Madam

She says she's gutted but she loves everyone. Man, she's always literally speechless. Does she talk at all?

She is reprising Closer, one of her two only good performances.

NEXT WEEK IS ROCK NIGHT! The contestants will be mentored by INXS.

Tom is finally out of the picture! He's a good kid, but he's not as ready as Chrislyn and Brooke yet. That being said, there still are people who I think undeserving to be in the top 12. It's ABBA's night by the way!

Chrislyn Hamilton is up first and will be singing Mamma Mia. She thought it was a joke when she learned it would be an ABBA night. Definitely a lot of personality on stage but the vocal is too theatrical. Not the most exciting Chrislyn could do.

Dicko: You always gave us moments when you hit the stage, but not so much tonight. I think your horrible outfit distracts audience from your actual performance.

Marcia: Well done.

Kyle: Some contestants will have fun like what you did tonight, some will be serious. So it's all good but you dress up too timid for a fun song like that, and I agree with DIcko that your top shows your belly there.

Vocal: 7 --- Performance: 10 --- Song Choice: 7

Sophie Patterson is singing Gimme Gimme Gimme. She decided to get rid of the keyboard intro to suit her style. She’s doing the acoustic version.

Marcia: You look a bit like Agnetha (The blonde singer of ABBA), you really did a good job, I really like the fact that you tend to change things around.

Kyle: Now you are showing what sorta artist you’re gonna be. Those who love that will love that.

Dicko: You’re the first interpreter of the night, I thought that was smart. It’s a song about desperate for a man. So, on that song you should be more intense, but well done.

Vocal: 7 --- Performance: 8 --- Song Choice: 9

Thanh Bui is next, singing The Winner Takes It All. He says it is his chance to show his ballad strength. He’s performing with the piano. Finally what I’ve been waiting for from him, the soft range of his voice. Also, there was no over the top choreograph like he always did. Standing ovation from the audience

Kyle: That is perfect, no cheese. It was sincere, not acted like in the past. Stunningly wonderful.

Dicko: For you, ABBA night is a jackpot. Perfect song choice, you got it wrong in the past, but not tonight.

Marcia: TOUCHDOWN!! Come on everybody get up!

Vocal: 9 --- Performance: 8 --- Song Choice: 10

Roshani Priddis sings Money Money Money. She hopes the judges won’t feel indifferent. She wants them to totally love her performance or totally loathe it. Wow, she dresses up like Betty Boob, literally sexy. She’s more playful this time around like grabbing a dollar note from the conductor’s backpocket and the cameraman. Glad she steps out of her ballad mode.

Dicko: I saw your rehearsal and knew it was going to be like cabaret. I was nervous that you might fail to pull it off but you didn’t.

Marcia: Fantastic Roshani, well done!

Kyle: I agree with everything being said.

Vocal: 9 --- Performance: 10 --- Song Choice: 8

Wes Carr is singing Fernando. As a kid, he used to be in musical drama and singing some Abba songs as well. He is performing with his guitar, and it sounds generic. Once again, too ‘aussie rock’. Not my thing.

Marcia: That sounded like it was written for you. Courageous, well done!

Kyle: That was great, I love to hear that on the radio tomorrow. I was nervous initially because it’s a love song to a Spanish man.

Dicko: You look like a tennis player in the 70s. You turned it into modern rock. Very clever, mate!

Vocal: 7 --- Performance: 6 --- Song Choice: 8

Mark Spano is singing Waterloo. He likes the song but he won’t be that cheerful and jumpy. He definitely makes the song sounds more serious. I personally like his version but I can kinda understand if many disagree. Marcia and Dicko were particularly not impressed with his attitude, how he kept sulking throughout the week about having to sing ABBA. But I hate that they judged him based on that, rather than the actual performance. I thought it was still decent.

Kyle: You did a reasonable job, I know you forgot you words a bit there, but you kept going. I think you could have slammed that a little bit more. I know u were not happy with the Abba theme

Dicko: You’ve been sulking all week. Even ABBA outrocked you, that wasn’t good. You’re digging your own grave. I don’t like your attitude at all. You ruined it.
Audience: BOO!

Marcia: I think you’re the bomb but don’t you ever let a song on top of you. Don’t ever apologise.

Vocal: 8 --- Performance: 7 --- Song Choice: 8

Madam Parker will be singing Dancing Queen. She wants to put her own spin into it. Her vocal is a bit weak at some spots. It’s really weird with the music suddenly pauses and then goes again, and then pauses again and goes again.

Dicko: I don’t know why you guys are so scared about tonight’s theme. I think you would have done better just with the original arrangement. You don’t look like 100% comfortable. It wasn’t that bad but try to toughen it up.

Marcia: I can see you trying to bring the clubby feeling into the song. But you don’t really need to do that, you can just sing it. But you had fun, well done.

Kyle: I actually enjoy it, but kinda agree with Marcia and Dicko. But I wish you should just take control. If you disagree with some of the decisions made by the musicians or stylists, take control!

Vocal: 6 --- Performance: 6 --- Song Choice: 8

Teale Jakubenko will sing Thank You For The Music. Well, I thought it was going to be excellent since he is practically the only person who’s very vocal about his excitement doing an ABBA song. But that was mediocre.

Marcia: That’s the happiest and most comfortable I’ve seen from you. You sang it beautifully and so were the ladies (background singers).

Kyle: I think you’re a supreme vocalist, you’re a contender popped out of nowhere.

Dicko: I love the fact you’re looking forward to this night, but why did you choose that song because that’s one of their weakest song? ABBA even said they didn’t like it. On the plus side, your voice is getting better and better.

Vocal: 8 --- Performance: 6 --- Song Choice: 4

Luke Dickens has the pimp spot and will be singing Knowing Me Knowing You. As usual, he’s growling again. Finally the judges have the audacity to criticise the boredom that is his vocal.

Kyle: I hated the first 20 seconds, and then it turned good but you eliminated that “A ha” part, so I was disappointed again. But it was a nice version.

Dicko: You took that song into a dark place, ABBA meets Wolf Creek. But you have to discover your sweet voice, it will enable you to lift on the chorus.

Marcia: You sing well, but give light and shade, more versatility in vocal.

Vocal: 7 --- Performance: 7 --- Song Choice: 9

My ranking:

1. Roshani

2. Thanh

3. Mark

4. Chrislyn
5. Sophie

6. Wes
7. Teale
8. Luke
9. Madam

Does anyone notice how all three teenage competitors in the top 12 this year have family issues? Brooke's dad abused her mom then killed himself, Tom's parents are separated, and Chrislyn's parents divorced.

Anyways, I'm hoping one of Luke, Tom, and Thanh to head home tonight. Luke is too stereotypical Aussie, Tom is too immature, and Thanh is too boyband-ish. However, like last week, we might be expecting something else, like Roshani

Last week, Brooke was sent packing prematurely. I was sad but ended up laughing. Remember how the producers overhyped the new voting system and how it will prevent shocking eliminations? It actually made it worse. At least in previous seasons, they occurred around top 7. Tom is the weakest of the bunch, and he's going to get saved by the tone deaf even if he brutally falls into the the bottom 3 week after week.

As previously said, last night was pretty sensational in general. I have no idea what tonight’s bottom 3 will consist of. An ideal scenario will be either Tom or Luke going home, but it may be Thanh’s turn or quite unfortunately Sophie.

Last week, we said our Sayonara to Jonny. I was okay with him until he said how he doesn’t sing covers and the remaining 11 are more comfortable doing it. In other words, he single-handedly robbed a wildcard contestant who actually wouldn’t mind doing covers. Good riddance.

My only prayer for tonight is that the public realises the greatness of Madam and Roshani. The three people who I want to see fighting for their life tonight are Luke, Tom, and Teale. However, I'm expecting the bottom 3 will consist of Luke, Teale, and unfortunately Roshani. We'll find out very soon...

Tonight, each contestant will sing a song sung by their idols. In the promo throughout this past week, they kept saying about the change within the voting system this year. The rumour I heard was that before they close the voting lines, they will reveal the bottom 3 contestants to the public, and then give the public a last minute chance to vote for who they want to stay out of those bottom 3 dwellers.

It would be a satisfying night for me if Brooke and Amanda both made it through. Voted through by the public or judges don’t matter as long as they are in. However, based on the show’s history, there will be at least one undeserving person getting through. This person usually can’t sing that good but has the heart, *cough* James *cough*, which is what the Australian judges often overestimate. So, it’s time to find out!

At the moment, there are 5 testosterones and only 1 girl in the top 12. Thus, expect at least 6 or 7 girls competing for the final 4 spots of the top 12 tonight. The guys who didn’t get through really have no business in getting thru the wildcard round, possibly with the exception of Jonny (I’m assuming Madam and Brooke are the ones voted through in his group). Nonetheless, here’s how the cookie crumbles…

The seventh person through to the top 12 is…………………………..Brooke Addamo!!!
