Blind Moon
August 1st 2008 09:31
It's the "ordinary fear" we all have had for most of the time, like when we consciously change the channel the moment we see hungry skinny children "polluting" our TV screen. We pretend to be "ignorant" so that we can somehow not feel blameworthy about not having helped those kids. This is where the song is heading.
Blind Moon
The candles turn
under my burning faith
this is the moment
of the fading of voices
I'm on the other side of the world
bury hatchets and times
I'm on the other side of the world
ceasing the hot snows
Chorus:
Well living is dying
but dying is pure
we're just scheming another
suicidal cure
creating tears of a thousand waters
then the blind moon will fall apart
I can see this through me through you
The world has gone
stealing every soul
it was the night
lullabies turned into crimes
I'm on the other side of the world
never want to return
I'm on the other side of the world
inside the dimes
Blind Moon
The candles turn
under my burning faith
this is the moment
of the fading of voices
I'm on the other side of the world
bury hatchets and times
I'm on the other side of the world
ceasing the hot snows
Chorus:
Well living is dying
but dying is pure
we're just scheming another
suicidal cure
creating tears of a thousand waters
then the blind moon will fall apart
I can see this through me through you
The world has gone
stealing every soul
it was the night
lullabies turned into crimes
I'm on the other side of the world
never want to return
I'm on the other side of the world
inside the dimes
